Country Kids run a fabulous pre-school unit and have been awarded 26 government funded pre-school places each year from 2015/2016. The pre-school session takes place Monday to Friday 9.10-11.40am & 12.20-2.50pm. For each years intake the children should have been born between the stated criteria dates. Application forms and admissions criteria will be available mid December from the Education Board website.
The pre-school room focuses on preparing children for primary school through play. A structured day is centred on the six key stages of learning, namely personal and social development, physical development, the arts, language development, early mathematical experiences and the world around us. This, coupled with lots of fresh air, provides a busy day for all in the Pre-School.
Country Kids Day Nursery in Donaghadee is celebrating after its pre-school achieved the highest possible grade during a recent inspection with the Department of Education. It is the first private day nursery to have been awarded “outstanding” in the North Down and Ards area. This grading has further enhanced the All Ireland Centre of Excellence status that the nursery already holds.
The inspection report stated that “the quality of education provided by this pre-school setting is outstanding and the quality of pastoral care is also outstanding
At Country Kids we also offer wraparound care for children who may be attending another school nursery unit. We provide drop off and pick ups from local nursery units.
