On Friday the 3rd of July, Pre-Pre school had their special trip out to The Ark Open Farm. Everyone was so excited as they got their Hi-Viz vests on to climb on board the ‘Moo Bus’, picking which seat they were going to sit on was quite the novelty!!
When we arrived at the farm the children got into their groups to go around the farm together. First they went to see the tiny little chicks that were only two days old, they even got to stroke them, they were so soft and fluffy!
We then went on to see lots of other animals, there was so many to see! The boys and girls loved meeting the squirrel, lizard, breaded dragon and even a turtle. There was much excitement when we told the children that they were then going on to into the petting shed, they all loved getting to see the rabbits who were a lot smaller than our Thumper and Toffee!!
There was a little baby goat too, who loved getting lots of attention from the Country Kids gang. After that we went on to meet four huge big pigs, we had a special job to do here as we even got to feed them…. they were really hungry!! The boys and girls had a good giggle when they got to see the meerkats and even got to see a baby deer, only the adults could spot who Bambi was though!!
After seeing all the animals on the farm the children got to go and have a good run around in the park. Thank you to The Ark Open Farm for letting us visit, we will definitely be coming back to see you again!!
